Mission: The Link between Students & Business. Providing ongoing financial and administrative support to sustain and expand high school Chamber/Brevard School District academy programs and to provide meaningful consistent support to schools. |
|
The Melbourne-Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has formed numerous partnerships designed to provide high school students a meaningful, relevant education. These partnerships of business and academia ensure students will have the skills required to succeed in a rapidly changing business world, regardless of whether the students chose to continue their education or start work upon graduation from high school. Academy Programs: Academy of Business and Finance Academy programs aim to create a personalized and supportive learning environment for students, and teachers, by integrating classroom studies with career and work related enhancements. The academy programs establish partnerships with local employers in order to build strong connections between school and work and to provide a wide range of career development and work-based learning opportunities. A significantly higher number of academy students consider their future career and educational options earlier in their high school careers. Students participating in internships and career shadowing are also prepared to make informed choices. Chamber Academy Key Components and Contributions 1.
